Akor Adams has returned to the Super Eagles camp after receiving clearance to visit his mother in the hospital.

Akor’s mother was ill on the eve of Nigeria’s Round of 16 match against Mozambique’s Mambas.

The forward’s parents are in Fès to support him in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 25-year-old revealed after the game with the Mambas that his mother couldn’t come to the stadium because of her illness.

Team administrator Dayo Enebi Achor stated that Akor is back with his teammates in camp.

“He took permission to go and see his mother, who was hospitalised here in Fès, and returned in less than an hour,” Achor told thenff.com.
