As first reported by SCORENigeria, the Super Eagles have turned down a bonus of $15,000-a-man in the event that they advance to the knockout rounds of the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.
SCORENigeria can also report that the players have asked for $30,000-a-man, which is double what has been placed on the table for them.

There has been no agreement between the team and the NFF on what bonus should be paid when the Super Eagles fly to the Round of 16.
Sources told SCORENigeria that this may well have opened the door for another pay row in Morocco. It would be recalled that last month also in Morocco, the Super Eagles staged a pay strike on the eve of a crucial 2026 World Cup Playoffs tie against Gabon.
