Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, has promoted Dr Ossai Edmund Ndudi to the rank of Professor in the Department of Community Medicine, bringing to an end years of prolonged anticipation and delay.
The development has drawn widespread commendation for the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Sunday Elom, with education stakeholders and commentators describing the promotion as a clear demonstration of his visionary leadership, foresight and moral courage.
The elevation of Dr Ossai has been warmly received within academic and professional circles, where it is viewed as a long-overdue recognition of his outstanding scholarship, teaching excellence and significant contributions to medical education and community health.
