The AdvantageConnect, a new app unveiled by Enterprise Life, an innovative insurance company, has been described as an innovative solution to digitalized the insurance sector.

The digital solution launched in Lagos last Friday connects individuals with a life planner that will provide tailored life insurance solutions specific to the individual’s needs.

Speaking at the launch event, the commissioner for insurance/chief executive officer of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM), Mr. Olorundare Sunday Thomas, said the AdvantageConnect App was in line with the vision of the federal government to digitise insurance in Nigeria and make it accessible to all Nigerians. 

Hear him: “This is a truly innovative solution, and it aligns with our vision at the federal government to fully digitise insurance in Nigeria. I commend the vision of Enterprise Life for leading in this area. With AdvantageConnect, I believe more people will have access to insurance and be brought into the financial net”.

He said one of the things that seem to be lacking within the insurance sector was having to place awareness to give to the people the value that the sector sells. “We are not selling cost, we are selling value and that is what I think  the Enterprise AdvantageConnect is doing. Looking at it from the conceptualization of the products to the maintenance of the consumers, to delivering, in terms of claims, and even after claims, I think it’s just ideal and good for our time. I believe that the launching of this product is consistent with the plans of the sector in the first instance, because we are believing God that in this sector this year, we must or we should be able to mark the 1 trillion Naira insurance premium mark”, he said.

Beyond that, the Commissioner said his sector needs to key into the national programme of the current administration to   have an economy of $1 trillion within the next seven years statin that  launching of products like this, would  place the insurance sector in  good state to be able to position itself in FG’s plan and help de-risk the economy. “It is important for us that we begin to drive  as many initiatives of this nature as possible”, he said.

Speaking about the need for a life planner and the uniqueness of Advantageconnect, Funmi Omo, Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Life, said “Life is full of uncertainties that have been aggravated by changing economic realities. We realised that many people see insurance as an afterthought, but we believe everyone should plan their lives to buy assurance amid life’s uncertainties. We have launched this product to connect people to a life planner next door that will be available as a reliable partner. Advantageconnect gives you the advantage”.

A unique feature of the Advantageconnect app is the seamlessness in connecting with a life planner, who will seek to understand the specific needs of the customer and create a tailored life insurance solution for the customer.
