The spokesperson for the Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign, Remi Omowaiye, has criticised Governor Ademola Adeleke’s handling of security, claiming the administration’s performance has made it easier for the opposition to campaign ahead of the state’s governorship election.

Speaking on Channel TV Politics Today, Omowaiye alleged that the Adeleke administration had failed to improve security across the state, arguing that the governor’s record had become a key issue in the APC’s campaign.

“I can tell you clearly that Governor Ademola Adeleke has failed the people of Osun. In the area of security, Governor Adeleke has not done anything,” he said.

According to him, if the governor had delivered effectively on security and governance, the APC would have found it much more difficult to convince voters to support a change in leadership.

“If he had done well as a governor, it would have been very difficult for us to campaign,” Omowaiye added.

The APC campaign spokesperson maintained that the party would continue to highlight what it described as shortcomings in the current administration as it seeks to persuade Osun residents to vote for its candidate in the forthcoming election.
