Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has declared support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, insisting that four years is insufficient for the administration’s reforms to deliver the desired results.
Adeleke, who governs Osun State on the platform of the Accord Party, said Nigerians should give Tinubu another term to consolidate his reform agenda, expressing confidence that the President would return to Aso Rock after the January 2027 election.
The governor spoke on Wednesday at the inauguration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
“We must give our father, the President of this nation, time for his reform to work. It’s not easy. Four years is not enough,” Adeleke said.
“That is why I’m here to throw my weight.”
The governor, popularly known as the dancing governor, said he was confident of Tinubu’s electoral prospects, declaring that the President’s supporters would campaign vigorously to secure his re-election.
“Nobody can stop this movement,” he said.
“We’re going to sing, we’re going to dance all the way back to Aso Rock.”

Adeleke urged supporters to focus on mobilisation and practical action ahead of the election, saying there was little time to waste.
“We don’t have time. The work has begun. I’ve already started mine,” he said.
“Let us rise and make sure our President comes back for the second time,” he added.
He also urged Nigerians to continue praying for the President, saying the success of his administration would benefit the country.
“Continue praying for Mr President. If he succeeds, we all succeed. And I know by the special grace of God, we shall get there,” Adeleke said.
A revised campaign council list released on Tuesday named Adeleke as the President’s campaign coordinator in Osun State, despite his membership of the Accord Party.
The list also named the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, as campaign coordinator in Rivers State and the FCT, while Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, was also included.
