Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has described his elder brother, Adedeji Adeleke, as an important adviser and father figure whose counsel has remained influential throughout his political career.
Adeleke spoke about his family and the relationship among the Adeleke siblings during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics.
The governor said his relationship with Adedeji goes beyond the bond between brothers, noting that he regularly draws on his elder brother’s experience and advice when making important decisions.
According to Adeleke, his elder brother has played a significant role in providing guidance as he navigates public office and political responsibilities.
The governor also reflected on the loss of his father, saying he still misses him but finds some comfort in the resemblance and relationship he shares with his elder brother.

“He behaves like my dad. When I see him, I see my dad; he is like a father figure, and God has really blessed him with wisdom,” he said.
“I call him my adviser without portfolio,” he added.
The Adeleke family has remained prominent in Osun politics, with the governor previously acknowledging the support of his siblings throughout his political journey.
Adedeji Adeleke is the father of Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.
