Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has hailed the 2025 Third Quarter Fiscal Transparency Report, which awarded Osun State a perfect score of 100%, as a testament to his administration’s commitment to transparency and accountability in governance. B
He said the achievement came in stark contrast to allegations made by the opposition.
In a statement released by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, on Friday, Adeleke noted that Osun joined ten other states in achieving this top rating, as highlighted by BudgIT’s recent report.
He emphasized that this is the best performance Osun has recorded in over a decade, describing it “a fantastic New Year gift for the people of Osun State.”
“We operate a transparent, due process administration. Our budgetary process has garnered applause across various sectors. Osun has once again made its mark on the national stage, scoring a perfect 100% in the Q3 2025 Fiscal Transparency League Table,” the governor stated.

He added that this achievement serves to discredit the opposition and confirms that Osun has been excellently managed over the past three years, in line with national and global standards, and according to positive feedback from both observers and citizens.
He said that the report evaluates states based on the availability, timeliness, and completeness of key public finance documents, the functionality of e-procurement portals, and the accessibility of fiscal data—underscoring Osun’s commitment to open governance.
Adeleke reminded the people of Osun of other notable achievements, including leading the South West in primary health care access, improving national examination ratings from 33rd to 7th, and reducing the state’s debt by over 40%. He also mentioned significant infrastructure improvements, further affirming the state’s fiscal management.
“The 100% score reflects our unwavering commitment to transparency and fiscal responsibility as foundations of good governance. Under our administration, Osun has strengthened public financial management systems and fostered public trust,” he affirmed.
Prof. Moruf Adeleke, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, stated that the rating indicates that Osun is being run transparently with due process in budget implementation, openness in procurement, and accessible fiscal data on the state’s website.
“Thank you to Mr. Governor for allowing our team autonomy to manage the fiscal process according to global and national best practices. His political will has ensured that all budgetary processes are transparent,” the Commissioner said.
