2027: Oladipupo Adebutu officially joins Ogun governorship contest

From Laide Raheem, Abeokuta

The House of Representatives candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Abeokuta South Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general election, Toyin Amuzu, has declared that the governorship candidate of the party in Ogun State, Oladipupo Adebutu, possesses the competence, integrity and capacity required to rescue the state from the maladministration of the ruling party.

Amuzu, who gave the declaration on Monday while speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta, congratulated Adebutu and noted that his emergence was a welcome development for the people of the state, describing him as one of the most experienced and prepared politicians to lead Ogun State at this critical period.

He noted that Adebutu’s long standing commitment to the welfare of the people, his accessibility and deep understanding of governance had distinguished him as the right choice for Ogun residents, describing him as a man of integrity, humility and proven leadership capacity with no baggage of lies or integrity issues.

“Oladipupo Adebutu has consistently demonstrated genuine concern for the wellbeing of the people using his personal resources and has remained committed to the development of Ogun State,” Amuzu stated, emphasising that the governorship candidate’s track record in empowering youths, supporting community development and promoting good governance had earned him widespread acceptance among party faithful and the electorate.

Amuzu urged party members and residents of the state to unite behind Adebutu’s candidacy to ensure victory for the PDP in the 2027 governorship election, expressing optimism that the party would provide purposeful leadership capable of addressing unemployment, insecurity and economic hardship confronting the people.
