The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has postponed its presidential and governorship screenings until Monday, May 18.

In a statement made on Saturday, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC’s national publicity secretary, stated that the screenings were originally scheduled for this weekend.

“The African Democratic Congress (ADC) wishes to inform all presidential and governorship aspirants that the party’s screening exercise earlier scheduled for this weekend has been postponed to Monday, 18th May 2026,” the statement reads.

Bolaji also announced that screenings for National Assembly aspirants from parts of northern Nigeria would now take place in Abuja.

He noted that the decision was taken because of the security situation in some northern states, adding that all affected aspirants would be contacted with updated schedules and details.

“We regret any inconvenience this adjustment may cause and appreciate the understanding and cooperation of all aspirants and stakeholders,” he said.
