The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Abia State has taken steps to address the leadership crisis in the state.

A three-man Investigative and Disciplinary Committee has been set up to look into the matter and make recommendations for an amicable resolution within 14 days of its inauguration and submit a report in accordance with the constitution of the party.

The party’s resolution was contained in a statement released to journalists in Owerri, the Imo State capital, by the Zonal Publicity Secretary, Chilos Godsent, after an emergency meeting convened by the National Vice Chairman of ADC, Southeast, Bon Unachukwu, in Owerri.

Dr Uche Edeh, according to the statement, is the chairman of the committee, with Chioma Anyanwu as Secretary and Chilos Godsent as a member.

The committee, in its mandate, is expected to engage with major leaders and stakeholders, interact with factional groups, review petitions and relevant documents, and make recommendations for a resolution.

According to Godsent, the party has appealed to all parties, leaders, and members in Abia State to remain calm and cooperate fully with the committee as it carries out its task.
