Chieftains and members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Borno have regrouped and accepted the party’s transitional committee in a move to challenge the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2027.
State Chairman of the party, Alhaji Umar Bolori, announced the recent development in the party at a press confeenc yesterday in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Bolori said the party chieftains are now reversing their initial rejection of the state Transitional and Registration Committees” allegedly set up by one of its founding leaders; Kashim Shettima, ex-Chairman TETFUND. L
“We officially recognise and accept the inaugurated state transitional committee under the leadership of Alhaji Ali Bukar Wurge and the registration committee under the leadership of Peter Biye accordingly,” he announced.

He assured that the party is ready to take over the state. “That is why we are appealing to all our stakeholders and supporters to be law-abiding and vigilant. I can tell you that ADC is a party for women and youths. We are united and one big family,” he added.
He appealed to all party members and stakeholders to support the committees in delivering out their mandates given to them.
“I want to use this opportunity to inform our party supporters that by next week, we are going to start our membership registration exercise. We urge everyone to participate in the voter registration,” he announced.
He apologized to party stakeholders, members and supporters for the initial rejection of the committees.
