In the run-up to the 2027 general election, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has scheduled its  national convention for April 14.

A statement jointly signed by the National Organising Secretary, Prince Chinedu Idigo and National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, yesterday night, stated that the national convention will be preceded by polling unit, ward, local government and state congresses.

According to the party,  the polling unit and ward congresses will  hold on April 7, while local government and state congresses will follow on April 9 and 11 respectively.

“This process forms part of the party’s constitutional responsibility to renew its leadership structures across all levels of the organisation, beginning from the polling units and wards through the local government and state levels, culminating in the National Convention.

“Members of the party who are interested in contesting for any vacant positions at the ward, local government, or state levels are advised to obtain, download, complete, and submit the relevant nomination or expression of interest forms through the party’s official platform,” it stated.
