Deputy National Financial Secretary, African Democratic Congress (ADC), Oladimeji Fabiyi said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is working day and night to destroy opposition parties.
Fabiyi made the assertion during an appearance on Channels Television‘s “Sunrise Daily” programme on Monday.
According to him, the APC has been deliberately putting up obstacles to obstruct the ADC but has got caught in its own web.
Fabiyi observed that the ruling party which had been pushing consensus as preferred mode of choosing electoral candidates ahead of the 2027 general election has suddenly began playing up direct primaries.
He said, “Look at what APC just did. Didn’t they say consensus? Why are they now going to direct primaries?

“(It is) because they know the implications. They couldn’t drive it upon on all the infrastructure they say they have for direct primaries. Consensus, they couldn’t achieve it.
“It means when you know how to dribble too much at a point you’ll dribble yourself. That is what is happening to APC now.
“See them running up and down. They’re carrying lots of baggages on their heads right.
“The ADC is giving them sleepless nights. They are working day and night to destroy ADC and the other opposition parties.”
