Kano Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has declared that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) holds no political relevance in Kano State, describing the party as “dead on arrival” due to internal crisis and lack of popular support.

The governor made the remarks while addressing a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters in Kano, shortly after his return from Abuja, where he participated in key political engagements.

Governor Yusuf said the ADC has been plagued by unresolved internal conflicts, which, according to him, have weakened its structure and diminished its chances of gaining ground in Kano’s dynamic political landscape.

He further noted that beyond the crisis rocking the party, the ADC lacked the grassroots acceptance and credibility needed to compete effectively in the state.

The governor emphasized that Kano remains firmly under the control of the ruling political structure, backed by the overwhelming support of the people.

He urged supporters to remain united, vigilant, and committed to consolidating the gains recorded under his administration.

Governor Yusuf also reassured the crowd of his administration’s dedication to delivering on its promises, stressing that governance and development remain his top priorities.

“We will rally a solid support for President Bola Ahmad Tinubu and I am very optimistic that APC will in sha Allah win all elective positions in 2027”

“Our partnership with the Federal Government has already been yeilding positive results with intervention of infrastructure and social safety initiatives. We will deliver APC with a landslide victory” The Governor affirmed
