The African Democratic Congress senatorial candidate for Benue South, David Olofu, has unveiled a twelve point legislative agenda anchored on People, Power, Prosperity and Progress, should he be elected to the Senate in 2027.

He unveiled it at the flag off of the party’s zonal campaign in Oju Local Government Area. The agenda prioritises education, healthcare, agriculture, enterprise, digital skills, infrastructure, security, local government autonomy and accountability.

Olofu promised to promote STEAM education, facilitate science laboratories at local government headquarters, establish public libraries and expand scholarships. He also pledged to rehabilitate primary healthcare centres and widen health insurance for poor households.

He proposed a Special Purpose Agricultural Zone along the River Benue, supported by land development, produce aggregation centres, warehouse receipt systems, guaranteed off take arrangements and agro processing clusters.

A former Commissioner for Finance and Economic Planning in Benue State, Olofu said his blueprint draws on public service experience. He noted that over 300 students have benefited from his ₦100,000 annual scholarship scheme.
