Adamawa Govt. urged to complete abandoned hospital project

Shelleng community in Adamawa on Monday appealed to the State Government to complete the abandoned Shelleng Cottage Hospital project.

Alhaji Abdullahi Dason, the Emir of Shelleng, made the appeal on behalf of the community during a thank-you visit on Gov. Mohammed Bindow at the Government House, Yola.

Dason said that the completion of the project the abandoned cottage hospital would boost health care delivery in the area.

The emir however said the Shelleng chiefdom was overwhelmed by the development strides recorded by the administration in Shelleng Local Government Area.

He expressed the people’s gratitude to government and pledged their continued support to the Bindow-led administration to enable it to achieve its goal of providing basic infrastructure in the state.
In his remark, the governor commended the people of Shelleng for the visit.

Bindow assured them that their request would be considered as a government team of engineers would carry out technical evaluation of the project for onward fiscal allocation.

NAN recalls that government had constructed a road linking Kiri to Shelleng in a bid to ease transportation in the area.
