A group of Nigerian firms has signed a $400 million Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with some Estonian agro firms for the Agric Aid Volunteer Scheme and the agricultural digital information system in Nigeria.
The signing ceremony, which held in Tallinn, Estonia, recently, was hosted by Values360Ventures OÜ.
The agreement was signed for the Agric Aid Volunteer Scheme and AFODIMS, a new Nigerian agri-tech platform for empowering smallholder farmers, advancing sustainability, integrating food, energy and water security for resilient communities.
Firms representing the Nigerian group involved in the project include the Agricultural Commodity Valuechain Expansion Project (ACVEP) Limited, First Values360Ventures Limited, and supported by the Nigerian Government and Values360 Ventures Saudi Arabia, while the Estonian group was represented by Values360Ventures OÜ, Lanmer OÜ, and Organic New Earth (ONE).
According to Dr. Ekenechukwu Aloefuna, ACVEP Project Initiative Lead, the project with a timeline of December 2029 will enable the Estonian group to export its services, generate benefits for Estonia and make a significant contribution to the Estonian economy as well as establish a bridge with the Saudi Arabian private and prospective public sectors for future endeavours.
During the signing event, Dr. Aloefuna signed on behalf of ACVEP as Project Initiative Lead with ACVEP’s North America Director, Mr. Keneth Anthony also present.
Other dignitaries present at the event include Dr. Asif Chowdhury who coordinated the event on behalf of Values360Ventures OÜ, Estonia, ensuring project governance and management; Dr. Kent Langel, who represented Lanmer OÜ, Estonia, as Project Implementation Lead (including Organic New Earth (ONE); Dr. Kazeem Oladimeji, who represented First Values360Ventures Limited, Nigeria, on behalf of the Nigerian government, and Dr. Saad AlKhalaf who represented Values360Ventures Limited, Saudi Arabia, as the Project Observer.
