Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has revealed that her favourite role is being a mother to her six children.
The veteran actress known for her humanitarian efforts plays the titular character in her new movie Maria, a film about Maria Callas, one of the most influential opera singers of the 20th century.
Jolie was asked in a recent chat with Good Morning America if there is anything in her life that compares to Maria’s love for singing and she said it was “motherhood.”
“It’s my happiness. You can take everything else away from me. Nothing else matters,” she stated.
Jolie is mom to six children; Maddox, 23, Pax, nearly 21, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

She shares all six children with her estranged ex-husband, fellow Hollywood veteran, Brad Pitt.
Speaking about her children and fame, Jolie shared that none of them want to be in front of the camera following their parents’ highly publicized romance.
“They are quite private,” she said, adding that daughter Shiloh is the “extremely private” one.
Explaining further, Jolie added: “They weren’t born with privacy so I hope they can have that as they get older.”
