Activist, Scott Iguma’s uncle has been abducted in Edo State.

He said the incident occurred in Oluku, a town in the Ovia North-East Local Government Area of the state.

The activist added that the kidnappers are demanding N50 million as ransom.

Iguma, who became famous for his controversial stance on Nigeria’s real estate industry, disclosed this in a video shared on social media on Tuesday.

He further disclosed that the matter has been reported at Ekiadolor Police Station, whom he accused of “doing nothing” about it.

He said, “Nigeria has happened to me. As I speak with you, my uncle has been kidnapped.”

The content creator alleged that “Fulani terrorists in Edo State” perpetrated the act.

Iguma stressed that the victim has been severely beaten by his captors, and could barely speak the last time his family communicated with him.

He said the abductors initially demanded N100 million as ransom but eventually reduced it to N50 million.

Iguma added, “You see this insecurity that we have been talking about, if it has not come to your doorstep you will not understand what is going on in this country.

“We’re totally surrounded.”

The Edo State Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), CSP Moses Yamu could not be reached for comments.
