After a week break, eight teams has been billed to test mights as the ongoing Penafort Energy/ PFC All Stars tourney resumes today in Ojo, Lagos.
The twelve teams grassroots football competition which kicked-off September 20th, is close to climax after several team faced exit at the preliminary round.
With the final match scheduled to hold next weekend, Big Brother All Stars will jostle with Igando All Stars while host, Post Service Football Club [PFC] will be welcoming Ajamgbadi All Stars to town.
PFC ‘B’, alongside Egan All Stars has been scheduled to fight for glory after which De Friends All Stars will poised for action against Okoko All Stars.
Speaking ahead of the forthcoming duels, Chairman, Local Organizing Committee, Chigozie Nwafor urged teams to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship while he apologized for shift in fixtures.
He however commended participating teams who has kept to rules and regulations of the competition.
“ We are using this medium to apologize to our spectators for shift in fixtures. The fixtures was shifted based on positive reason. But we thank God action resumes today. I also want to appreciate all teams who has find it worthy to abide by our rules and regulations.”
“ I hereby urged all teams to further embrace the spirit of sportsmanship as we move closer to climax. I also want to give thanks to God for keeping our lives and making the tourney a notable one which has been the cynosure of all eyes and I can assure you, we the organizing committee will keep the good work going. I wish all teams the best,” he stated.
