The presidential candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) for next year’s general election, Hon Adekunle Rufai Omoaje, on Saturday launched his presidential campaign in Ede, Osun State.

A special prayer led by Islamic scholars, Christian clerics and traditionalists in Ede preceded the launch of the campaign, which was held at Babanla Agate Ward, the home ward of Omoaje in Ede.

Top politicians, captains of industry, unionists, artisans and traders, drawn from different parts of the country, graced the ceremony, which was presided over by the national leaders of the AA, including the Osun State chairman of the party, Kazeem Araoye.

Omoaje said grand campaigns would soon be held across the six geopolitical zones of the country, including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

He disclosed that his agenda for the country cuts across all sectors of the economy, adding that he is determined to bring an end to the economic crisis ravaging the country.

Also, he reiterated his determination to ensure that all youths in the country are gainfully employed, just as he promised to abolish poverty in the country.

Expressing optimism that he would win next year’s presidential election, Omoaje hinted that his administration would focus on economic prosperity and fight against corruption, adding that he would be guided by the core values of his party, which centre on promotion of the welfare of the masses and abolition of poverty.

He assured that his administration would fight insecurity and ensure that all Nigerians sleep with their two eyes closed wherever they may be in any part of the country.

Omoaje said he would reduce the number of ministers and political appointees if elected president and only appoint presidential liaison officers in all the 744 local government areas of the country.

Also, he said all roads would be classified as federal roads and there would be no discrepancy in infrastructure in any part of the country.

He solicited the support of the masses to emerge as the next president of the country.
