President of the Indigenous Igbo Youth Congress (IIYC), Chief Mayor Echefu, has said that Senator Attan Achonu, candidate of the Labour Party in the forthcoming November 11 governorship election in Imo State will breathe a new life into Imo State.

According to the youth leader, Imo is a state in urgent need of deliverance and the LP candidate has all it takes to reposition the state on the path of development, so that Imo people would regain their pride of place and again, walk with raised shoulders in this country.

“No one is happy over the situation in Imo. Security has collapsed in the state for some years now. All you hear or read in the media is violent crimes; killings going on in the state.

“Most Imolites hardly visit home for fear of their lives. Owerri used to be the rendezvous for people from different parts of the country because of its rich hospitality. The hotels in the city are counting losses, as they are having low patronage, no thanks to the insecurity in the state.”

“Senator Achonu stands head and shoulder taller than the other candidates in terms of his leadership qualities, uncommon capacity. His vision, among other qualities is worth celebrating. He was already established before he ventured into politics. It is against this background that he has a very wide followership,” Echefu said.

The IIYC leader further noted that while the Igbo are now singing the Think Home mantra, Sen. Achonu, had long been investing massively in Imo State and other South East states.
