First Bank Basketball Club produced their best performance so far to beat INSS of Congo 83-45 to go top of Group B.
The Elephant Girls were at their very best posting good defensive and offensive plays that gave the Nigerians the victory in a match that was meant to test the acumen of the team.
The team captained by Nkechi Akashili took their game to their opponents with good passes and coordination. It was a domineering performance by the First Bank players in the first three group games.

Congolese import, Ginette Mfutila Makiese was the star performer for the Nigerian team scoring 15 points and 14 rebound. Malaika Nyree Green also contributed 13 points, Sarah Ogoke had 12 points, while Nkechi Akashile added 11 points.
Aisha Mohammed also had 4 points and 15 rebound.
Coach Peter Ahmed commended the players for their efforts and expressed delight over their rebound. The quarter finals take place on Friday.
