Accreditation has officially commenced at the Adolak Event Center in Osogbo as members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gather for their governorship primary election for the 2026 election in Osun State.
Delegates began arriving at the Adolak Hall, where the primary is taking place, amidst heightened security measures to prevent any incidents of violence.
Initially, State PDP Chairman Mr. Sunday Bisi had announced that the primary election would be canceled due to ongoing crises affecting the party’s national leadership.
However, this assertion was challenged by the National Organizing Secretary, Theophilus Shan, who affirmed that the primary would proceed as planned.

By 11 AM on Tuesday, the venue was filled to capacity with delegates, while the party’s electoral committee, led by Humphery Abba, was also present.
The committee includes notable members such as Bar. Marc Jacob, Chief Sanya Atofarati, Mrs. Scholastical Kenebi, Chief Anene Azubuike, Mrs. Splendor Josephine, and Dr. Sunday Solarin, serving as Secretary.
As the day unfolds, all eyes are on the outcomes of this crucial primary, particularly as governor Ademola Adeleke prepares to pick the form of Accord Party for his re-election.
