Italian Serie A giants AC Milan are reportedly set to make a €3 million (₦5.3 billion) profit from the permanent sale of Nigeria winger Samuel Chukwueze to Premier League side Fulham.

Chukwueze, 26, joined AC Milan from Villarreal in 2023 for €21.1 million, arriving with high expectations following his impressive spell in Spain. However, the Super Eagles star struggled to adapt in Italy, failing to secure a regular place under multiple coaches.

At the start of the season, Milan informed Chukwueze that he would no longer feature prominently in their plans. The winger subsequently moved to Fulham on a season-long loan with an option to buy. Since his arrival at Craven Cottage, Chukwueze has been in electrifying form, netting three goals and providing four assists in 12 appearances, quickly becoming a key player for the Cottagers.

Fulham coach Marco Silva has praised Chukwueze’s impact, and sources suggest the Premier League club is highly likely to trigger the €24.1 million buy option at the end of the season. If completed, AC Milan would secure a tidy €3 million profit on a player who struggled to make an impact in Serie A.

AC Milan are reportedly eager to offload the winger permanently and have no plans to reintegrate him into the squad. While the transfer window is still months away, both clubs are optimistic about finalising the deal, which represents smart business for the Rossoneri.
