ABU, RUDN sign deal on science, education

The People’s Friendship University of Russia has entered into an agreement of cooperation in the fields of science and education with Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

This is in recognition of the importance of the university’s role in the promotion of international collaboration, equality and increased contribution to societal development.

The agreement of the cooperation between the two institutions shall encompass all faculties, institutes, academics, libraries and administrative units of the universities enhancing the resource base of both universities.

The agreement further states that the parties shall implement joint research, educational projects and exchange of students and staff vocational training.

The management and administration would be coordinated by the Head of Department, Mass Communication, Dr. Adama Adamu on ABU’s part and Maria Kirka, Director of International Cooperation on the part of People’s Friendship University of Russia, named after Patrice Lumumba (RUDN University, Russia). The agreement is valid for five years and subject to renewal upon joint agreement of both parties.

A representative of the People’s Friendship University of Russia Dr. Mustapha Jamiu and a delegation of the Department of Mass Communication led by Dr. Adama, paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kabiru Bala, in his office, where the agreement was formally signed.
