As a successful entrepreneur, Araba Femi Sanni has been amazed at the abundant energy and creativity of young Nigerians. He fears most of their wasted potential and feels really sad when people have great talents or big dreams but don’t get the chance to use them. As a form of intervention, Sanni chooses sports and media to create life-changing opportunities for these youngsters.

For the Kwara State-born seasoned engineer, charity begins at home. He floated ‘ARABA FC’, a football side playing in the Nationwide League One (NLO), to help young talents in Kwara and give them a chance to be seen by international scouts. This was followed by the opening of FlowFM 92.7 —in 2024— to give voice to passionate youths with talents.

From football pitches to radio waves, Sanni’s vision is clear: give the next generation a platform to be heard, seen, and celebrated. That he has done successfully in the last one year via his broadcasting outfit, FlowFM. However, Sanni believes that beyond broadcasting, his outfit should extend its commitment to community development. As his radio station clocked a year, to celebrate the first anniversary, Sanni delivered a fully renovated conference room to the Kwara State Police Command. The Corporate Social Responsibility initiative was formally handed over during a recent ceremony attended by top police officials and the station’s leadership.

Sanni described the project as symbolic of media-law enforcement collaboration, noting the renovated facility would serve as a strategic hub for crime-fighting deliberations.

“As we celebrate our first year of service to the people of Kwara State and beyond, we reaffirm our commitment to community partnership not just through the airwaves, but through tangible action. This space represents our shared investment in institutions that protect our society,” Sanni stated during the handover witnessed by Commissioner of Police Adekimi Ojo and Deputy Commissioner Idachaba Friday Adamu.

The project transforms the police headquarters’ conference room with modern furnishings, upgraded technology, and improved working conditions for security personnel. This reaffirmed FlowFM’s dual mission of quality broadcasting and grassroots development. It highlighted the radio station’s year-long impact since it took off in 2024, including its emergency broadcast support during security operations and community awareness programmes. Sanni vowed to expand such initiatives in the coming years.
