Abia State chapter of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has pledged her total support for the national leader of the party, Rabiu Kwankwaso and the acting national chairman of the party, Abba Kawu Ali.
The state chairman of NNPP, Ogaranya Ifemeje who made the chapter’s position known in Umuahia, debunked rumours making the rounds that there is a parallel executive of the party in the Abia state chapter.
“Abia NNPP is one, there is no parallel executive anywhere in the State. We are standing with the acting National Chairman, Hon Abba Kawu Ali and National Leader Rabiu Kwakwaso.
He disclosed that the party did well in the last election and presently, the 4th largest political party in the country, having won a Governorship seat, national and states House of Assembly seats in the country.
“The state executive under my leadership is on the right direction and in solidarity with the acting National Chairman Hon Abba Kawu Alli and the leader of the party Senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwaso.”
He urged members of the state Exco to remain steadfast and continue to work for the growth of the party saying the future of the party is brighter.
Chief Adibe Kingsley Ejike, state publicity secretary of the party, described NNPP as the most viable opposition in the state and will continue to constructively criticize the government of the day.
The State youth leader of the party Ihezie Obinna Desmond stated that youths of the party will not tolerate any anti party activities and any plot to create a parallel structure within the party and warned mischief makers to stay clear from the party’s activities.
