The Imo State Police Command arrested four suspects during a combing operation in the forested areas of Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
According to a press statement by the state police spokesperson, Henry Okoye, operatives from the Ohaji Divisional Headquarters, led by the Divisional Police Officer, carried out the operation in collaboration with local vigilantes.
The sweep covered Assa, Ohuba, Ada Palm Plantation, and adjoining communities as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate criminal hideouts in the state.

The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, Garba Bosso, directed the proactive security measure aimed at denying criminal elements safe havens and sustaining peace in the area.
Okoye disclosed that a thorough combing of identified locations led to the arrest of four male suspects. They are currently undergoing interrogation as investigations continue.
The police said forest combings will be intensified across the state to check the activities of kidnappers and other violent groups.
No further details on the identities of the suspects have been released pending the conclusion of investigations.
