ABC Logistics, a subsidiary of ABC Transport Plc, has commenced testing of its first fully electric vehicle (EV) for parcel delivery operations, marking a significant milestone in the company’s drive towards sustainable logistics and cleaner transportation solutions in Nigeria.

The pilot vehicle, manufactured by CAWIN, a leading Chinese electric vehicle company, is part of a strategic partnership aimed at evaluating the performance, durability, and operational efficiency of electric vehicles within the Nigerian logistics environment.

During this pilot phase, the EV will operate on short-distance routes between nearby hubs within Lagos, primarily aggregating small parcels to the main hub for onward forwarding to other destinations.

The vehicle, capable of covering up to 300 kilometers on a single charge, will be powered through charging stations located in ABC’s strategic logistics centres across Lagos, many of which already operate on hybrid or fully off-grid energy systems.

Branded with the tag “100 percent Electric – Sustainable Deliveries,” the vehicle proudly reflects ABC Logistics’ commitment to green innovation, energy efficiency, and reduced carbon emissions in its daily operations.

This initiative underscores ABC Transport’s broader sustainability vision to integrate cutting-edge technologies that promote environmental responsibility, enhance service delivery, and support Nigeria’s transition toward cleaner energy solutions.

As one of West Africa’s leading transport companies, ABC Transport continues to champion innovation that aligns operational excellence with environmental stewardship, driving forward the future of sustainable mobility in the region.
