The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has congratulated the Emir of Zazzau, His Royal Highness, Amb. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, on the conferment of a doctorate in Public Affairs (Honoris Causa) on him by the Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State on Saturday.

Abbas, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Kirishi, described Emir Bamalli’s honorary degree as well-deserved.

The speaker, who represents Zaria Federal Constituency in Kaduna State in the House of Representatives, said the monarch had contributed immensely to the affairs of Zazzau Emirate and Kaduna State and the entire country.

He commended the Western Delta University for honouring the Emir of Zazzau, noting that the honour would unite Nigerians across ethnic and religious lines.

The Speaker, a prince in the Zazzau Emirate and holder of the traditional title of Iyan Zazzau, added that the honour bestowed on the Emir signified a reward for patriotism and good leadership as well as the pursuit of peace and unity in the country.

Abbas urged the monarch to continue to play the fatherly role he had been playing among his people and beyond.
