One of the aspirants to the office of the president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Abba Yola said has the capacity to revive the dwindling fortunes of Nigerian football if he is elected on September 30.

Yola, the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, is confident he would be the next president of the NFF.

Yola, who supervised the construction of the NFF edifice said, “I have seen and experienced so much while serving football in several capacities. I must confess that all these while I have watched with fascinated disbelief how many wrong steps were made while trying to better the lots of our football. Even though I am not pitching blames on anyone’s door step, I know for sure which right steps I will take to revive our football.”

Yola believes that he has the character and the face to assure all that Nigeria football in the new dispensation headed by him will reach milestone achievements that Nigerians within and in the diaspora will be proud of.

“This is the jet age for world football and I see no reason why we should stay at the back. Truly, the task to reposition the nation’s football and its administration would be a Herculean one but I can see myself overcoming all the tasks with support of well meaning stakeholders and the robust and vibrant Nigerian sporting press.

“I give my best when the challenges are quite daunting and high. I can do it for the nation’s football. In one word, I will simply revive our football and its administration and place it on an enviable pedestal globally,” he assured.
