Fast-rising Afrobeats singer Akinde Ayodeji, popularly known as Aayo, has expressed determination to become one of the next major stars driving the global success of Afrobeats.
Speaking during a recent media chat, the singer said he is focused on building a lasting career through quality music, consistency, and authenticity rather than chasing fame.
“I believe in my sound, and I believe my time is coming,” he said, adding that he hopes to contribute to the next chapter of Afrobeats’ global growth.
Aayo said his music blends infectious Afrobeats rhythms with relatable storytelling, while describing competition in the industry as a motivation to improve creatively.
He also stressed that discipline, resilience and strategic planning are essential for long-term success in the entertainment industry, urging aspiring artistes to remain patient and committed despite challenges.
With plans to release more music and expand his audience, Aayo said he is determined to let his craft speak for itself as he pursues his ambition of becoming one of Afrobeats’ leading voices.
