The Alumni Association of the Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Lagos State chapter has urged its members to pledge allegiance to the principles and values of the association through collaboration, innovation, and steadfast commitment to service.
The association made the call during its recent gathering in Lagos, where Clifford Omozeghian was formally announced as the global president of the association.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the association, Rufus Osagie Alele, noted the significant role of the reconciliation committee chairman, Mr. Sebaston Nwokoro, whose insightful proposal and comprehensive findings laid the foundation for a transformative resolution.
“With meticulous attention to details, Mr. Nwokoro presented the committee’s findings, guiding the congregation through a journey of reflection and consensus-building.
“Upon thorough deliberations, the congress, in a unanimous declaration, embraced a pivotal resolution of profound significance. This resolution, a testament to our collective commitment to excellence and unity, bestowed formal recognition upon Omozeghian as the worldwide president of the AAU Alumni Association.
“His steadfast leadership, characterised by vision, integrity, and unwavering dedication, has propelled our association to new heights, inspiring alumni worldwide to join hands in pursuit of a shared purpose.
“As we embark on this new chapter under the stewardship of Omozeghian, we reaffirm our pledge of allegiance to the principles and values that define us as an association.
Through collaboration, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to service, we will continue to uphold the legacy of our alma mater and nurture a vibrant community of alumni united in purpose,” the statement reads in parts.
The association also extends invitation to all who have graced the halls of Ambrose Alli University and now reside in Lagos State to join.
“Your participation in our monthly gatherings, held on the last Sunday of every month, is not only welcomed, but also cherished as a testament to the enduring bonds that transcend time and distance.
“We commend Omozeghian for his exemplary leadership and express our gratitude to the chairman, Rev. Sam Okotete, and all members for their unwavering support. Together, let us forge ahead with renewed vigour and determination, as we write the next chapter of our illustrious journey as proud alumni of the Ambrose Alli University, Lagos State Chapter,” the statement reads.
