Akwa Ibom state chapter of African Action Congress (AAC) has elected Elder Utip Joseph Etiebet as new chairman and other executives for a four tenure in the state .
Other Executive elected at the state Congress held at the weekend include : Mr Okon Umanah, Bassey Etim Deputy Chairman ,Aniefiok Udosen – State Auditor , Mr Idorenyin Nse Effiong – Youth Leader , Blessing Usen – Organizing Secretary and Enobong Sunday Udoh
Speaking during the elective Congress held at the party Secretariat in Uyo at the weekend, the chairman elect Elder Etiebet assured party supporters that he will wrestle power with the incumbent governor pastor Umo Eno to defeat All Progressive Congress (APC) and join forces to retire the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2027.
Etiebet observed that PDP has ruled Akwa Ibom for many years and doubt the capacity of APC to take over power from PDP adding that the broom leadership has failed the people in their cluelessness lacking direction in the development plan of the state.
He commended the officials of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for monitoring the state Congress of the party as the presence of the electoral umpire authenticate the party Congress .
” AAC is not a new party, we are not good at making too much noise . We follow the path of our leader Sowore . We have the support across the 329 wards and 31 local government areas in Akwa Ibom through our comradeship .

” Our membership strength has increased in the state . By next year, we will increase more than now.

Etiebet further observed that there are potholes within internal roads in Uyo such as Aka Itam, Uyo village road , Udo Umanah flood menace and other roads that have collapsed in Uyo metropolis.
He therefore called on the state governor pastor Umo Eno to relieve the commissioner of works as he could not fill even potholes talk less of constructing collapse roads in Uyo .
“I hereby call on the state governor pastor Umo Eno to sack the works commissioner because our people have suffered so much for lacks of roads ” he said .
