…Threatens Legal Action

The Action Alliance (AA) has slammed the Independent National Electoral Commission for what it describe as a deliberate exclusion of the presidential candidate duly nominated by Chief Kenneth Udeze Led National Leadership.
The party which condemned the act said it is just an afront to the party but a deliberate assault on democracy.
This as the party demands the immediate withdrawal of illegal publication and publish the correct list reflecting candidates nominated by the party under the leadership of Chief Kenneth Udeze.
In a statement on Sunday and personally signed by the Chief Kenneth Udeze, National Chairman of Action Alliance (AA), reads “We condemn in the strongest terms the deliberate and unlawful exclusion of the Presidential candidate and other candidates duly nominated by the Chief Barr. Kenneth Udeze-led National Executive Committee of Action Alliance despite clear and subsisting judgments of the Court of Appeal affirming our leadership.
“This action by INEC is not just an affront to Action Alliance, but a direct attack on the rule of law, internal democracy, and the integrity of our electoral process.
INEC is fully aware of the appellate court affirmation of the Chief Barr. Kenneth Udeze-led leadership. To publish a list that ignores candidates nominated by the Udeze leadership is willful disobedience and contempt of a court of competent jurisdiction.”
We hereby demand that INEC immediately withdraw the illegal publication and publish the correct list reflecting candidates nominated by the Action Alliance under Chief Barr. Kenneth Udeze within 48 hours.”
Continuing, “Failure to do so will leave us with no option but to activate all available legal remedies, including contempt proceedings, to protect the rights of our party, our candidates, and the millions of Nigerians who believe in the AA ideology The Party of the Masses
INEC must not be allowed to become an agent of illegality. The judiciary spoke, and INEC must obey.
We call on all lovers of democracy, the media, civil society, and the international community to take note of this dangerous action and hold INEC accountable.”
