Sarkin Fulani of Lagos State and chairman, Association of Fulani Chiefs in the South-West Nigeria, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Bambado, has condemned the killings of the Fulani in Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State last week.
He expressed sadness over the incident, describing it as, “unfortunate, shocking and unwarranted. Such dastardly acts are uncalled for in a nation that is trying to forge solid unity and peaceful co-existence.”
He called on the Federal Government to investigate the cause of the killings: “We should learn to tolerate each other, learn to live together in peace and harmony. Nigeria belongs to each one of us and we are destined to be together by God.”
He appealed to all and sundry to remain calm: “The government would get to the root of the matter and bring the perpetrators of the dastardly acts to book to serve as deterrent to others and forestall future occurrence.”
