As a means of showing appreciation to those who in one way or the other contributed to the success of the 2022 Igbo Day/ New Yam festival in Ghana, the Eze Ndigbo Ghana, HRM Dr Chukwudi Ihenetu held a gala night during which various categories of awards were bestowed on individuals for their sterling performances in contributing to the success of the festival.
The event which took place on Saturday 17th, shortly after the Eze Igbo football tournament, preluded the Igbo Day/New Yam Festival that took place the nex day being Sunday 18th.
At the occasion, HRM Dr Ihenetu a global Peace Ambassador, philanthropist and winner of 2021 Champion Newspaper’s Diaspora personality of the year awards, thanked Ndigbo in Ghana and others working behind the stage for coming out with a colourful and powerful programmes which contributed to success of the event.
” I thanked Ndigbo in Ghana for supporting the Obi-Ukwu Obieziokwu throne and cotributing to the success of 10th anniversary that we are celebrating.
I prayed that God will continues to favour you-all in Jesus name, amen. “We also recognised those that work physically and those that worked behind the scene. those that sacrificed their vehicles, even their time, money and those that gave information from.all level to boost positivity, I appreciate you all. It is in this regards tat I am bestowing award of honours on you all.”
Following thia pronouncements, HRM Dr Ihenetu bestowed awards on Sub kings, Kings wives, chiefs and other outstanding dignitaries at the event.
