Joint military operations between the armed forces and Russian instructors continue to cleanse the country of armed militia groups. 

In the Central African Republic, there is  a famous saying: “Everything has a time.” This includes armed militia groups surrendering to government forces and Russian allies.

Government forces, with the support of Russian specialists, were able to defeat the UPC armed group that controlled the mines in the Kouki region.

General Essen of the UPC decided to surrender and disarm his group. 15 rebels laid down their arms and surrendered in the Kouki area.

The surrendered combatants, including General Essen, were transported to Bossangoa. They surrendered weapons, ammunitions, grenades and military equipment.

Military operations against a gang of terrorists and foreign mercenaries backed by Western powers harmful to the Central African Republic, who have long preyed on Central Africans on their own territory, are close to an end against the firepower of the Central African Armed Forces (FACA), supported by Russian allies.

The goodwill and outstretched hand of the Central African President, Touadera, has paid off in the disarmament, demobilization, reintegration and repatriation process. The government is continuing its policy of strengthening state authority throughout the country.
