The Nigeria Para-Powerlifting Federation is set to commence a crucial camping session for its top athletes ahead of the World Cup in Chile.

According to the Federation’s Secretary, Afolabi Oluwayemi-Olabisi, the camping session will begin on July 10th, 2025, at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.

The athletes invited to this camp are the ones who emerged first and second in the National Trials conducted in Abuja, and they will undergo intensive preparations to represent Nigeria at the World Cup in Santiago, Chile, scheduled to take place from August 10 to 18.

The selected athletes, including record-breakers like Sade Oluwafemiayo, Ganiyu Anifa, Ogundolie Tolulope, Rasaq Muftau, Onyema Esther, and others, will be put through rigorous training to ensure they are in top form for the championship.
