Some leaders, including former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President David Mark, and former national chairman of the opposition party, Uche Secondus, are currently in a closed-door meeting at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.
Inside sources say the meeting is not unconnected to moves by some opposition politicians to settle for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as the coalition party for the 2027 general elections.
Others in attendance at the meeting include former Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal; Liyel Imoke, Babangida Aliyu, Gabriel Suswam, and Sam Egwu, former governors of Cross River, Niger, Benue, and Ebonyi states respectively.
