Coscharis Motors Plc, one of the foremost names in auto assembly and sales, has committed to the provision of excellent after-sales back-up for the Geely brand – the latest nameplate in its big family of auto brands.
At the launch of an ultra-modern purpose-built workshop located in the PWD area of Ikeja GRA, Lagos, the Coscharis management pledged to bring to bear on the Geely after-sales support the legacy of excellence that helped to successfully drive ts other brands to the forefront of Nigeria’s auto market.
Speaking at the inauguration of the facility, Mr. Cosmas Maduka Jr., Executive Director, Aftersales & Special Duties, Coscharis Group, said the company would extend to Geely users in Nigeria the benefit of excellent service that dates back to the late 1990s.
Such legacy of top quality after-sales support, he stressed, contributed to the success of top-tier brands in the Coscharis stable, like BMW, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, and Renault, would now be brought to bear on the Geely brand.
The official launch of the workshop on Thursday, June 26, 2025, also marked the official takeover of the Geely after-sales responsibilities by Coscharis Motors.
Aptly themed: “Geely’s Found a New Home,” the ceremony had in attendance the Country Manager, Middle East/Africa Business Unit, Geely Auto International Corporation, Paladin Yao and a delegation from China.
The expansive new facility features state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, manual and automated tools, and six lifts, in addition to a replacement parts section.
The workshop is manned by technicians who the Coscharis Motors’ management confirm are given regular training by Geely, while outside the workshop is a drive-course to test the undercarriage of the cars.
“It is truly a defining moment for us at Coscharis,” said Maduka. who further stated: “Today, we are not just launching a new workshop, we are launching a new promise. A promise to deliver excellence. A promise to offer real value. A promise to serve you with integrity, innovation, and intentional care.”
The Executive Director underscored the importance of the ceremony, explaining: “Geely is not just a car brand. It is a global symbol of progress — built on precision engineering, advanced technology, and customer-focused design.
“And now, that very symbol has found a new and trusted home with Coscharis. We are proud to extend our legacy of excellence, a legacy that already spans top-tier brands like BMW, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, Renault—to now include Geely.
“Two, this is a home of customer value. Our mission puts the customer at the heart of everything. We are here to ensure that every Geely customer gets more than a product-they get experience, support, and value for their money.
“Three, this is a home for innovation and growth. We are not simply replicating what others have done —we are setting a new benchmark. By investing in people, technology, and continuous improvement, we align with Geely’s future-forward vision and our own goal of driving societal development through technological innovation.
To him, the commissioning of the workshop is not an ordinary event, but “is a declaration. Coscharis is here to lead, not just participate.”
The Executive Director pointed to “The Road Ahead,” saying, “We’re not here for the moment — We’re here to build a movement. A movement where trust and reliability are non-negotiable. A movement where customers are proud to stay with us — from their first visit to their final service.
