Chelsea manager, Enzo Maresca said the West London club are not targeting the UEFA Champions League title next season.
Chelsea finished in fifth place in the 2024-2025 English Premier League season to qualify for the UCL next season.
On Wednesday night, Maresca’s side thrashed Real Betis 4-1 to clinch the UEFA Conference League trophy.
After the encounter, the Italian tactician was asked about his ambitions for the UCL next season.
“Is the target to win that?” a journalist asked.
“No,” Maresca responded with a wry smile.
Quizzed on the forthcoming Club World Cup, Maresca said Chelsea would take the next ten days to rest before taking on the competition one game at a time.
“The target, to be honest, is go game by game. Try to go step by step. But in this moment, we don’t have any target for the Club World Cup.
“Now the only target is to recover energy because the season has been very long. Don’t forget that we started the conference in the play-off, not even in the group. And it has been a long season,” he said.
