As Governor Ahmed Aliyu’s administration marks two years in office, a support group under the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Youth Strategic Alliance for Continuity, on Monday organised a special prayer session in Sokoto State.
The event, held at the Sultan Abubakar III Juma’at Mosque, brought together members of the group, including women, to offer prayers for continued peace and progress in the state.
The Director-General of the group, Mr Musa Ladan, said the gesture was a demonstration of the members’ solidarity and appreciation for the achievements recorded under Aliyu’s leadership.
“We are gathered here to pray for our governor, who has remained committed to the development and well-being of Sokoto state since assuming office.
“We are truly proud of his numerous strides in infrastructure, youth empowerment, agriculture, and other key sectors.
“Today, we pray for his good health, strength, and continued dedication to the growth of our dear state and Nigeria at large,” Ladan said.
Also speaking, the group’s Women Leader, Rabi’atu Muhammad, reaffirmed their commitment to mobilising greater support for the governor, particularly in recognition of his administration’s focus on women empowerment.
Muhammad encouraged women across the state to unite in supporting the government’s developmental goals and the mission of the alliance to ensure sustainable growth for the state.
