The Ogun State Police Command has assure residents and visitors to the state of maximum security ahead of the 22nd National Sports Festival holding today, (Sunday 18th May, 2025) in Abeokuta.
The command’s spokesperson, CSP Omolola Odutola gave the assurance yesterday saying top-notch security measures had been mounted as the 22nd National Sports Festival, themed “Gateway Games 2024,” begins.
In a press release she stated that a comprehensive security plan was already in place to safeguard all attendees and residents throughout the event, explaining that both conventional police units and tactical teams had been deployed statewide to ensure peace and safety during the event.
She emphasised that the Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, was fully confident in the command’s ability to maintain order and guarantee a seamless, incident-free celebration.
