The Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Osun State, Dr Tosin Odeyemi, has taken a swipe at the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, urging him to wake up over his recent comment that the APC will take over Kano State.

Odeyemi, in a statement made available to TheSun.ng, described Ganduje’s comment as a mere dream that cannot see the light of day and thereby advised him to bury such a dream.

He said Ganduje’s comment about the NNPP as a dying party in Kano State was an indication that the APC National Chairman is frustrated by the good work going on in the state since the NNPP took over the mantle of leadership there.

Odeyemi said it’s either some of Ganduje’s aides are deceiving him or he’s deceiving himself.

He said the realities on the ground in Kano State go beyond what the former Governor can simply rubbish with loudmouth antics, uncouth behaviour, and the empty promises he’s known for in that state.

Odeyemi stressed: “I laughed when I saw that statement. Though age is not on Ganduje’s side and he’s gradually slipping into amnesia, I won’t blame him too much, but just to let him know that Kano State has evolved.

“Otherwise, how could somebody who is living far from his state boast that many NNPP bigwigs are set to dump the Kano ruling party for the APC, just because he supervised the distribution of 63 vehicles and 1,137 motorcycles to APC local government and ward chairmen in the state?

“The masses in Kano State are with our performing Governor, Abba Yusuf, who is doing everything humanly possible to make life better for them in all ramifications.

“Let Ganduje organise a street rally in Kano State and see those who will follow him. Our party has transformed the state; we have shown them how to serve people and not feed fat on their collective wealth.

“Ganduje should stop listening to parlour feedback from his aides who are deceiving him that his party can still take over Kano State,” Odeyemi added.
