Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has sacked five members of his cabinet, in the second cabinet reshuffle since his assumption of office.
It was gathered that the affected commissioners were relieved of their duties due to alleged underperformance.
A statement issued on Thursday by the Secretary to the Government of Plateau State (SGS), Architect Samuel Jatau, confirmed the development. The governor also wished the former appointees success in their future political endeavours.
The affected commissioners and their ministries are:
Chrysanthus Dawam – Budget and Economic Planning
Noel Nkup – Youth and Sports
Jamila Tukur – Tourism and Hospitality
Obed Goselle – Science and Technology
Sule Musa – Commerce and Industry
Chrysanthus Dawam and Jamila Tukur were suspended for three months last year for undisclosed reasons.
They were replaced by:
Joy Ramnap, former Deputy Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly (PLHA)
Dr Sunday Alex from Bassa
Sylvanus Dongtoe, Quan Pan
Dr Nicolas Bamnong, Quan Pan
Cornelius Doeyok, Quan Pan
