Former Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has expressed willingness to help the club keep three of their biggest stars, Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Klopp, who left the club at the end of the 2023/2024 season, joined Red Bull as Head of Global Soccer in October.
Speaking in his first press conference in his new role, the German tactician revealed he still maintains close contacts with the Premier League side, which he managed for nine years.
He said would not hesitate to use his influence to help the club keep Salah, van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold, whose current deals run out at the end of the season.
Liverpool are keen to extend the players’ current deals but have not secured an agreement with any of them.
Klopp expressed his willingness to help the club convince them to stay, even though he was not happy to get involved.
“I’m so happy I’m not in charge in that situation and have to answer these questions now. So good luck.
“My point of view? I’d love all three to extend. I don’t know, they didn’t tell me. I could text them,” Klopp said.
