Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sports Development to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka, has told the president, with genuine confidence, that he should expect the best in grassroots sports development under his tenure.
Adeboye made this bold promise to President Tinubu when he, alongside the chairman of the National Sports Commission chairman, Alhaji Shehu Dikko, and director general of the National Sports Commission, Honourable Bukola Olopade, paid the president a courtesy visit at Aso Rock yesterday.
Adeboye, who was recently appointed Special Assistant on grassroots sports development to President Tinubu, told the president that grassroots sports will achieve tremendous success and hit greater heights under his tenure
“I want to assure President Tinubu that I will put in more than my best to make sure grassroots sports, achieve great and tremendous success as soon as possible, because as we all know, grassroots sports are the bedrock of every thriving nation’s success in sports, so I make bold to say that, our great president will see massive results and achievements at the grassroots level and all aspects of sports,” he said.
“The visit to our president was very insightful and meaningful, and I assured the president of a total turnaround and big success at the grassroots level and Nigerian sports in general,” he added.
